New Heating Systems

New Heating Systems

Today’s heating systems have become so much more efficient for your comfort in the home. Many of them feature energy efficiency ratings of up to 95%.

Other modern day features include:

  • Two-stage operation to help conserve energy
  • Non-ozone depleting refrigerant
  • Quieter operation
  • Improved air filtration
  • Fan-only switches
  • Filter check lights
  • Furnaces
  • Variable speed blowers that provide heat when it’s needed and produces fewer drafts and uncomfortable temperature swings
  • Variable heat output to increase efficiency
  • Built-in electrostatic filters for improved air quality
  • Dual heat exchangers to draw more heat from and create less wasted energy
  • Ignition systems that do away with the pilot light, also adding to system efficiency

At B&J Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning Inc we design and install the following home heating and/or cooling systems:

  • Furnaces
  • Electric heat
  • Boiler Repair
  • Central air conditioning
  • Heat pumps (combined heating and cooling with operating and energy efficiencies greater than two separate systems)
  • Ductless Air (air conditioning only, or combined heating and air … ideal for one or two rooms as an adjunct to your other home comfort systems)

We take all factors into account so you can heat and cool your home with maximum efficiency and a minimum of wasted energy.

Proper Equipment Sizing - Installing the right-sized equipment is essential to getting the best performance and comfort. Many homeowners believe that bigger is better when buying new heating and cooling equipment. But in reality, a system that's too large will not keep your home comfortable because of frequent 'on/off' cycling. Incorrect sizing can also put stress on system components and shorten the equipment's life. That’s why we perform heat gain/loss calculations before recommending the type and size of a system.

Duct Sealing - To ensure that ducts are properly sealed, we test the leakage rate. If the ducts are very leaky (i.e. more than 20% of the air moving through the system is leaking into spaces you do not want heated or cooled) we’ll seal them properly and suggest wrapping them for your added protection.

Optimizing Air Flow - If air flow in your heating and cooling system is too high or too low, you may confront problems and higher utility bills. We’ll test the flow for you and make any needed adjustments for optimal performance.
