The new tax credits are as follows:

• Air source heat pump – 10% credit up to a maximum of $300.
• Central air conditioning  – 10% credit up to a maximum credit of $300.

Remember:  your heat pump tax credit is limited only by the total amount of your installed system…whatever that amount, you’ll earn a 30% credit on a qualifying system. 

When it comes to the credits for central air, air source heat pumps, and home heating systems, the total combined credit you can earn is $500.  Other qualifications apply.
